• The small business I choose is a local pizza restaurant in my area.  Its called Mozza Pizza. They have 2 locations, one in Huntsville, Al and the other in Athens, Al. This business does have a website but is not on a social media platform. According to their website, this pizzeria specializes in genuine New York style pizza’s. They should consider a social media platform.  The owners are 3 individuals that lived up north and has brought the style to the south in Alabama.

    This business should pervade social media platform. It is likely that they do not have a marketing position in place or no one to handle digital marketing. Their marketing strategy is traditional.  The platforms this company should invest in are Instagram. On Instagram, they could showcase various graphic pictures of their different kinds pizzas and upload videos. Another type of platform is Facebook.  It will likely circulate and be liked by viewers and customers.  

    On Facebook, they should add their location and include their menu. On Facebook, they could showcase actual testimonies and feedback along with uploaded pictures; videos can be added also. I also recommend the platform of TikTok.  This platform can be used to show customer videos eating the pizza in real time and also should include videos of the actual pizza, what it looks like. They could post on Facebook at least once a day. They should request customer to send them pictures and videos for discounted prices and use them for Instagram and TikTok to post 1-2 daily in a week. They could use Facebook to advertise for their own special promotions.

    To be honest, I didn’t know that this local establishment existed until recently. Utilizing these social media platforms for Mozza Pizza can provide cost efficient ways to with a larger audience and new following. This will expand and broadened their reach and influence. They can target a certain demographic. The blog posts, videos and graphics can help attract the type of attention they need. The social media platforms will showcase their brand, unique style and how they stand out in comparison to other popular pizza restaurants.  If you ever lived in this area for a period of time, then one would understand the need and desire for something new and different to eat. On top of new and different, It definitely has to be good.

      The reason and goal for suggesting a social media for this business is to drive traffic. Most small businesses are faced with time and money constraints; however, it takes strategy and best practices. Some best practices are prioritizing on the most urgent and important things. The next best practice would be to build community and interact with the pubic.  This can be done by asking the customers what’s their favorite pizza, or what are the favorite toppings and flavors. Another best practice is to respond to customer feedback as soon as possible if able. Ask customer to tag and share photos and videos of their experiences.  Another way to build community is run giveaways and contest by offering gift cards or a free pizza.  The last way to build community and drive community is showing a cameo of staff actually in the kitchen making the pizza behind the scenes.

    Enhancing content creation and creating a schedule can benefit a small business. For example, scheduling a time block to focus on postings of vlogs and blogs only. This will allow time for focused digital marketing without any distractions. It saves time and promotes consistency. Set aside so much time in a day or week, such as 30 minutes to an hour or two. Repurposing photos and videos to create reels and snippets are suggestions to optimize creativity for your business.

    Other time and money saving things to do is to ensure that the business is findable in google searches and listings with other notable names. They could do collaborations with a muk banger or foodie to create a buzz and reach out to new territory of consumers. Again, suggestions also include experimenting with the idea of regular and daily posting to social media. The key is not to be perfect but transparent, just showing the culture and personality of the business while promoting the vision. 

    Social media doesn’t require buying an expensive video recorder or camera. Having any kind of smart phone can do the trick of creating high-quality photos and videos of pizza, ingredients and staff. This is important for attracting attention on various platforms.

    For Amazon sellers, this means to:

    -High discoverability- Keyword-rich pillar content can rank well in search engines such as Google leading an audience to one’s Amazon storefront.

    -Maximized brand credibility-you can put your brand in position as an expert, cultivating confidence and devoted prospective buyers.

    -Enhanced customer learning- this will provide thorough content to help shoppers get educated regarding your product, this will lead to better decision before the purchase

    -Powerful product narration-Pillar content will allow you to dive in depth into the mission, and value of your product so a relationship is built with the audience

    Once the pillar content is created it’s vital to apply it to the overall Amazon strategy:

    -Creatively have links to your Amazon products, meaning to make it organic without trying too hard to advertise.

    -Advertise pillar content across various ways: social media channels, newsletters by mail or email to bring an audience back to your website.

    -Create engaging Posts to your Amazon website by pulling on quality content

    -Continue to stay current and to what’s trending, continue to update pillar content when needed in order to stay relevant.

    If you are willing to make the investment in authority-building content, eventually you will risk having an increase of loyal audiences that will invest in your product and expertise information

  • Marketing is a tool business use to advertise its product and services. Most traditional platforms used are commercials, billboards, radio, flyers and word of mouth. Marketing and advertisement are one of a company’s most significant means of expense.  Most startups are hesitant to spend much on marketing in the beginning because it leaves little to no room for profits and other overhead costs; however, it is most crucial to invest in order for the word to get out. This investment leads to the success and growth of a business. It requires careful planning and budgeting; the potential return can later outweigh any substantial expenses in the long run.

    Today marketing has taken a turn for the better. Social media platform is more than just communicating to people across the globe.  It has become a stage of prominent influence than ever before. Today, a colossal audience has taken to social media as a juncture of entertainment and community than beforehand.  Organizations have discovered that social media is a “game changer” and has become a powerful and influential tool for promoting products and services as well.  

     Current social media marketing trends focuses more on being personable and engaging to its audience. It provides real results of actual using a product in real time along with giving human authentic feedback. The target audience feel up close and comfortable. They also feel they are heard, have a voice and are more connected to the mission of a brand. They have a trusted voice of opinion. It’s not like a paid advertisement with actors pretending something is great, when in actuality it may not be. 

    Companies are paying social media influencers to promote to their target followers. This is also most cost effective than traditional advertising. Traditional marketing requires high upfront costs such as printing ads, billboard and television before any results can actually be seen.  It’s hard to tell which type of promotion is most effective and has the most influence; nonetheless, who the target audience that’s being reached are.

    Companies can now focus on running a business while marketing efficiently without breaking the bank. “Effective social media marketing in today’s environment goes beyond simply advertising. It’s about strategically leveraging platforms to build strong brand communities grounded in authenticity, engagement, and a deep understanding of audience needs. By focusing on building genuine connections, brands can cultivate a loyal following and achieve long-term success in the social sphere.” (Joshi, 2024) If an “influencer” swears that a good or service is great, you can definitely expect another trend to spread with high volumes of new consumers and above average sales.
